She
was born September 8, 1968 before sunrise near the quiet California
hamlet of Yorba Linda. The eldest of two very noisy daughters, she
spent her early developmental years trimming her youngest sister’s
hair with sharp scissors, and her eyelashes faired no better.
Hence her talent with scissors, with which she pursued with vigor
in her high school years in Yorba Linda.
Her talents were not limited to just paper and scissors (“old
man”), her talents for sketching with pencil
and pen are equally dramatic.
Her
goals are wide and varied. Ideally she would enjoy pursuing her
fine art-- first and foremost.
However, graphic art and web design and photography occupy a portion
of creative moments.
And, then there are her four wonderful children whom she deeply
inspires and moves with her artwork, and talents. The eldest son
who is driven in both music, and with pad and pen spends quiet moments
in admiration of his mother’s talents.

- 2006 Marcy begins to gain ground on her Rangoli
art by creating beautiful Mandalas
all over Austin. She begins to let her painting expression blossom
and creates this service with online access.
Marcy is a Self Taught Artist, currently residing in the hottest
spot in the US, Austin Texas. Not only is it hotter than hell there.
But it is the-- LIVE MUSIC CAPITAL of the world, a culturally diverse
environment and a very creative town.
She
is without formal training or education in Fine Art.
Her
work is mostly of the feminine form. She sees beauty in the light
and dark spaces of the figure. See
her Gallery here!
Inspired
by the works of the Da Vinci, Salvador Dali and the 70-80's Patrick
Nagel she derived at her own style through her love to cut paper.
This
particular form of Art is an expression of her need to control her
environment.
Unlike
artist who can paint (which she can do quite effortlessly), she
finds satisfaction in cutting cut paper with a plain old Exacto
knife.
Nothing
new or fancy, not the new cutting technique, or cutting gadget,
no curved blades, just precise, precision, dexterity, she controls
the cut with her eyes.
She
discovered the love for this form as a teenager. She has been trying
to perfect it ever since. She is nearsighted and hated to wear her
glasses. She would relate to her friends by there sounds and their
shapes. Her art is all about shapes and forms. SHe loves textures
in nature and tries to incorporate both in her art which is now
becoming 3 dimensional.
As
a young child she loved puzzles. She was very quick at arrangement
and finding the missing links.
This
is also expressed in her arrangement of color and texture and her
enjoyment of light and dark sapces.
In
her admiration of Real Women, mothers, athletes,
home makers, dancers, ... famous or not, women with uplifting attitudes,
strong minded, caring, nurturing with good will she creates masterful
pieces to express the inner beauty, goddess and spirit within.
